Full disclosure: I bought this to replace the original tooling on my DC07 Animal which was wearing out after 10 years is. This part is actually for the newer DC07. While it fits the DC07 Animal, the plug is longer and extends further than the originally intended part in the storage box. I understand it. The overall quality of this part is below what you would expect from a genuine Dyson replacement. In particular, as others have written, the red fabric pads come off too easily. For example the first time I used it. The swivel head was also disconnected from the tool socket several times. This, too, did not succeed with energetic efforts. More like light contact with the leg of a table or chair. Sure it will come back in a heartbeat, but I expect it to wear off over time too. Something I didn't expect from a genuine Dyson part. For very light work this can be acceptable at a quarter of the cost of the original replacement tool for those who need light work. However, you get what you pay for and I will look for the genuine part.
