Other reviews say the red fabric comes off easily but I've been using it on my carpeted stairs for a few months and only a tiny bit has come off. A little glue and it's a better OEM part. I changed the neck with the Dyson logo to make it look like the standard too.

The item I received does not match the picture. It doesn't fit my Dyson DC07. It has a 4Home label stating it's a Dyson compatible ladder tool. Above it is a sticker that says "Replacement Dyson DC07 DC14 Upholstery Tool". Changing the label does not change the content. I'm disappointed. Start all over.

My dog chewed on the original equipment and this is a replacement. It fits on the end of the tube but falls off easily so I have to hold it and the tube with my index finger and thumb. The red velvet is still there, and he's tearing the dog hair out of the upholstery. It wobbles on the vacuum cleaner and doesn't sit well, sometimes it falls off, but it does the job.

This item is perfect for replacing a lost unit on my DC 14. Not only does it fit onto the end of the hose, it also stows in the accessory holder on the vacuum side when removed. After reading some of the other negative reviews about the accessory holder not fitting the DC07, I was glad it fitted my DC14 like a Dyson tool. If you look at this item and a real Dyson item they look exactly the same except for the Dyson name.

Can't imagine where the original upholstery nozzle went for my Dyson DC14 but it's a great replacement. Fits perfectly on the hose and likes to work. The only reason I'm deducting a star is because it must NOT match the original bracket position on the vacuum cleaner. Fits, but MUCH loose. I know it's sophistry, but that's how I do it. Fits and works well but maybe you get what you pay for here. Visually and dimensionally identical to the original Dyson part. However, while the original Dyson part lasted more than 5 years, this counterfeit part shows lesser quality in less than a year. The red felt strips on the edge are peeling off. Yes we just take some strong glue and reapply but with the original Dyson part there was no such problem even after 5 years of use.

Full disclosure: I bought this to replace the original tooling on my DC07 Animal which was wearing out after 10 years is. This part is actually for the newer DC07. While it fits the DC07 Animal, the plug is longer and extends further than the originally intended part in the storage box. I understand it.
