Heh! It's magnetic. Bought it mainly for rental car trips. I used a sticky address label to stick a thin rectangular sheet of metal to my phone's rubber case. Works well as I'm used to using GPS on rental cars and like to have a look at the map and directions. (In my own car I use a clip holder taped to the windshield that holds the phone just below the rear view mirror. I think this is the best place for the GPS so you can quickly look at the rear view and the GPS.) Clip holder however, are bulky and cumbersome to use for short-term rentals.
