I needed a way to keep our microwave and toaster in our tiny camper that had no other storage for them from falling off or drilling holes in counter top and thought of Hook and Loop Velcro. and was so surprised at how strong it was and how well it stuck to surfaces. I have many other ideas for uses too. like hanging garden tools along sides of my small raised garden and my weed wacker stuck to wall so don't fall down all time.and on and on and on.
