I bought this power supply to replace my old machine when the fan stopped working. It has higher wattage than my old PSU, but apparently that doesn't mean anything since this unit randomly stops working while gaming, has a squeaky fan, and loud coil whine. Even the first installation didn't work. I had to jump over to make sure the pins were bent, so I had to pinch them. The cables are decent enough, not that I use them. I'm running a standard frequency 980ti with a Ryzen 1600 processor and multiple hard drives. Under maximum load in the stress test this build pulls 430 out of the wall, throw in 100 to be safe and even then the performance still falls short of the advertised wattage for this PSU. It shouldn't happen, but it happens. This was the first time I have used an evga product and unfortunately I will no longer be using it. Should have spent the extra $10 on a corsair or thermal.
