Type of review

First of all and very important for me (not to fry my MOBO and components): great response - timely and helpful via phone and email, from EVGA tech support to my MOBO specific pre-install questions . Ease of installation. Much fewer cables inside the case (thanks to modular cables). I love that it comes with a PSU test tool - a simple 24-pin bridged connector that mimics a MOBO connector that you plug into the appropriate cable with ATX pins (20+4) and the PSU in front test the installation…

Perfect for the mid-range looking to upgrade.

This power supply is more than sufficient for an average PC. I used to have a 430w PSU that shut down because my graphics card wasn't getting enough power. I'll post my specs below so you can judge the specs: CPU: AMD FX-6300 GPU: Nvidia GTX 970 RAM: 8GB HDD: 1TBW/DVD drive With the CPU powered on, the 24-pin cable attached, and my graphics card, the only additional cable I needed to connect was a SATA cable to power my DVD drive and hard drive. I still have 5 connectors on my PSU to power my…

Fan creaks in internal components

After owning this product for about 3 months I have made the decision never to buy an EVGA product again. It's been about 4 months since this issue but my fan on my PSU won't stop rattling, I've tried everything compressed air, fan lube and even reorienting, I'm writing this review and I can hear my fan rattling in my headphones now I'm waiting just waiting for the PSU on my other computer to experience the same problem, and what makes my problem even worse, it's not even a fully modular…

Good power supply Internal power supplies

Bought to replace a 10 year old Rosewill 600w PSU that eventually gave up. Overall I am very satisfied with this device. It works well and solved some of the stability issues I had (I suspect the old PSU didn't work well at all before failing completely). It's semi-modular, meaning the cables for the motherboard and a graphics card are plugged in all the time, which is mostly fine as almost everyone will need them. 2 PERIF, 2 VGA, 1 CPU and 2 SATA connectors, but only include 1 PERIF, 2 SATA…

2 weeks and he's dead

Hello, I bought this product (EVGA 650 BQ, 80+ BRONZE 650W) after using it for 2 weeks, the computer didn't break. After diagnosing my PC at a certified service center, the solution was "damaged power supply". After that I contacted EVGA and after a month of communicating and sending over 12 emails I finally received an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) but there was a problem. In order to repair or replace an item, I have to send it to Germany. I live in the Republic of Georgia and…

Do not buy. - Internal power supplies

I bought this power supply to replace my old machine when the fan stopped working. It has higher wattage than my old PSU, but apparently that doesn't mean anything since this unit randomly stops working while gaming, has a squeaky fan, and loud coil whine. Even the first installation didn't work. I had to jump over to make sure the pins were bent, so I had to pinch them. The cables are decent enough, not that I use them. I'm running a standard frequency 980ti with a Ryzen 1600 processor and…
