I use it on PC so can't speak about consoles but this thing just plugged in and was playing Forza in literally seconds. No drivers or cumbersome installation. It will recognize it as an Xbox controller, so the game will switch to the keyboard or Xbox prompts depending on the key it recognizes. Move the mouse or disk with WASD and the on-screen prompts will revert to qwerty. It's fairly responsive but has a small dead zone within 5 degrees of center. Nothing to complain about for the price. The pedals are also very good. They give enough resistance to feel like a real car. Vibration also greatly improves immersion. Country driving really feels like a real steering wheel. To be honest, I haven't tried the really expensive kits, but I think for a beginner this one more than met my expectations.
