Works as intended, more detailed review.

This device works as intended. Thought I'd leave a full review in case anyone is wondering what they are actually getting as I wasn't so sure myself when I ordered it. Your computer has a 5.25" bay, you have 3 cables on the back of the reader that you need to connect to your motherboard and/or your PCI-E USB 3 adapter. I bought a Mailiya PCIE-7PTC20P PCI-E USB 3.0 and 3.1 expansion card (USB-C). Works perfectly. The following cables run from the rear panel: 1. (1) 20-pin USB connector. I connected it to my USB3 expansion card, but it will also connect to your motherboard if it supports it. The 20 pin connector is only supposed to support 2 USB 3/3.1/C connections so I guess Kingwin is a USB 3/3.1/C hub inside and that's why you can connect 4 USB 3/3.1/C Connect devices at the same time. This is not documented anywhere. I also don't know if the USB-C port supports "fast charging". I do not think so. 2. (1) 9-pin USB 2.0 cable. This cable connects to a card reader and is used to transfer data from Kingwin to the motherboard. None of the card types use USB 3.0 connections for data transfer.3. (1) 1 SATA cable connection. This will connect directly to your motherboard and use one of your open SATA connections. This only transfers data from the eSATA connection of the card reader directly to the mainboard. Overall I like it and it works as advertised. If anything changes or an error is found in my review, I will update it.
