To be honest I'm a bit disappointed with the memory of this device. I have several of their products and am happy with them. But the included hardware is a joke. Even if you wanted to save money and just include a regular nut and bolt, why not supply at least one that matches the size of the hole? The one they give us is too small and allows for free panning, not to mention it takes a screwdriver to get enough torque to hold it. And indeed, if they wanted to claim GoPro compatibility, the M5x.8 threaded flare nut should have come standard, even if they didn't want to fit a thumbscrew. I was able to pick up some torches. at the local hardware store, but of course they don't fit snugly in the adapter's hex slot, so I tried gluing one in place. It seemed like it would work until the first time I tried using it in the field I found that the superglue wasn't sticking well to the plastic and the nut popped out and got caught in the powdery dirt underneath me. The three of us dug in the mud for 10 minutes to find it. The rest is OK. I've given it some pretty rough knocks and had no problems once I fitted it. It works with the 'correct' GoPro nuts and thumbscrews if you have spares. If it weren't for the weak iron, I'd bet 5.
