I drive a '09 VW GTI. I go with a spacer for about a week. I was looking for something that reports when I'm shifting from high revs, but not during everyday driving. For that it works very well. Obviously, as with all partial breather gaskets (mostly when the engine is cold), there is some inconsistency, but that is just the level at which it can be heard without being annoyingly loud. Installation was no more difficult than replacing a DV. Most importantly, the ECU does not generate any codes.
