Many of the reviews I read previously had me concerned about the stickiness or durability of the product. Any type of fabric, some types of wood, and I've seen someone complain about being stuck on a wall covered in popcorn paint 😑. Firstly, this is not gorilla tape, it is comparable to 3M tape in terms of adhesion. I used one on a carbon fiber auto part and got the angle mixed up. The band REALLY broke into segments and split into hexagonal notches, which is what I was expecting. What I didn't expect was that the glue was so strong that it ripped off the acrylic coating 😅. Some people will complain, ask for a refund and give this a star BUT it's my fault for not testing the glue first. The tape has a paper backing like decal/sticker and is not actually glued to itself on the roll. This allows you to MEASURE FIRST and cut to any length with ease. CLEAN THE SURFACE WHERE YOU APPLY THE DECAL WITH ALCOHOL AND ENSURE IT IS DRY AND DUST FREE BEFORE ADHESIVE. Slowly and carefully peel off the backing, trying not to (strongly) bend or curl the tape to avoid tearing. along these hexagons. In terms of thickness, it's about what I expected. Slightly thicker than duct tape but thinner than Gorilla Tape. It's not bad and feels durable if you place it properly, not on a dirty outdoor patio, on something painted with popcorn, or on clothes and backpacks.
