I seem to be getting more and more flakes as I age, and was embarrassed to wear my hair down for fear of my coworkers seeing it. And I feel it's VERY important to mention my hair is long, several inches past my hips long.Enter this shampoo, just shy of miraculous. Originally I purchased it for my spouse who has battled dandruff our entire marriage. He has tried every option available on the market, excepting prescription 'poos. Like everybody else, I snickered at the bottle size, which is practically miniature. With the not so tiny price that goes along with it, I did my due diligence and researched every review I could find.My first experience (and every time since) went like this. I wet my hair, and poured somewhere between a nickel and a quarter into the palm of my hand. This shampoo is very thin, so take care to keep your hand cupped and your wrist straight. This stuff is too expensive to allow it to run down your arm! I rub my hands together to distribute the product as evenly as possible, and attempted to get it evenly on my scalp. No lather, not one bubble that I could see. I scrubbed lightly and rinsed. When I repeated it, it lathered like crazy. Which I was beginning to feel because no lather, then lots of lather made no sense to me.**Another reviewer had it right when they said your hair must be totally wet to create lather**So once the stuff is good and bubbly and all over my scalp, I let it sit for four minutes. Then, and this is key, you have to have to rinse this stuff out completely. My results? After one use, my flakes were approximately 65-70% better. After the second use, I'm at about 95-99%, with the odd flake here or there. I finish with a conditioner, from my ears down, and end up with hair so beautiful, so shiny, that I have strangers asking my secret. I used to be embarrassed to admit to having dandruff, though now I can't wait to see their faces when I tell them my dandruff shampoo is why I have enviable hair. One thing, I don't care for the smell of this shampoo. It's no where near as disgusting as some dandruff shampoos but its not feminine enough for my girly taste. I nearly forgot to mention it's supposed to keep you flake free for up to 2 months after discontinuing use.In summation:Get your hair super wet prior to the first application. Scrub, rinse profusely, reapply and let sit for four minutes. Rinse profusely again, condition. Use this shampoo 2-3 times a week for one month, then once a week to maintain your results. Buy it, try it by following the directions, and enjoy super shiny, flake free hair.
