For years I've gotten used to using low lather shaving balms or lotions instead of big heavy creams. The creams really dried out and irritated my skin. So when I switched to shaving with a double-edged razor, I was a little wary of switching to a large shaving soap. Enter this product, it works great for me. I get such an easy and close shave. The texture of the material is interesting, you can feel it on your fingers when you smear it from the jar. The consistency is somewhere between whipped cream and PVA glue. Either way, it takes very little to spread in thick layers and provide enough protection for a good shave. Being substantial, it takes more than one rinse to completely remove it from my face after shaving, but I personally don't care. Also, if you have facial hair that needs shaving, this thing makes it very easy to see so you don't mess up your beard or anything.
