Review on Munchkin Arm and Hammer Diaper Pail Refill Bags - Snap, Seal and Toss, 600 Diapers, White (20 ct) by Liz West

Use your own kitchen bags and save a lot of money, they are too expensive.

A shameful and greedy increase in the price of these bags. Have you noticed that Munchkin diaper bags have been ridiculously expensive and/or hard to find lately? They cost about $1 a bag which is ridiculous! Well, their greed backfired because I found a way to use regular trash bags. They work even better because they can be smelled and are almost twice the size! 1: Take the original Munchkin bag and tear off the bag from the blue ring. All we need is this blue ring, you can throw away the package. 2: Slide a trash bag (large kitchen bags work well) through the rubber bucket slot at the top. 3: Put the blue ring (from the original Munchkin bag) on it. the top of the garbage bag. 4: Wrap the top of the bin liner on the TOP and BOTTOM with the blue ring (to cover it completely) and tuck the blue ring into the tabs as usual (only this time you have the bin liner on top instead of exposing the ring). 5: That's it! When you close the lid, the blue ring holds the sachet in place while the gears spin to seal out the smelly air. To empty the bag, simply open the side door as usual and pull out the bag by detaching it from the blue ring. Leave the blue ring for the next garbage bag and repeat! Tall kitchen bags cost about a nickel each, and since they hold twice as much, that means they're now FORTY TIMES cheaper than Munchkin bags. We used to take 15 bags a month, the savings really add up.

Pros
  • Just snap, seal and throw away without cutting or knotting the bags
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
