I had high hopes for this level but was ultimately disappointed. When it arrived I did a test to make sure it was level in all directions. First I laid the level on a flat surface, in this case the flat part of the top of my oven. I traced the outline of the plane on the plate to make sure the plane was always in the same place, then selected one of the axis lines and drew a marker in its place to mark the starting point. After determining where the bubble was at the starting point, I turned the spirit level clockwise to the nearest center line and saw if the bubble would be in the same area. I did this for each of the other three axes. With a perfectly accurate spirit level, the bubble is always in the same place and always points to the highest point, no matter how the spirit level was set. With the level I got, it was immediately apparent that the level was uneven. The bubble sits in one direction near the center, but when rotated 180 degrees it floats much closer to the edge of the plane. This rendered it unusable for what I intended to use it for. I was expecting a little inaccuracy as it's not a level of precision, but the error was too big to be usable so I put it on the shelf. The size is almost the same size as an average ring, making it completely unusable. Remember that the level was just sitting on the shelf the whole time. I was hoping to get a decent level that can be used for all but the most demanding applications, instead all I got was a leaky $15 paperweight.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
