Review on 🐠 Enhanced Aquarium Light: 300W Dimmable LED Coral Reef Light 2pcs for Fish Tanks - Remote Control & 24-Hour Timer by Lori Williams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not very bright but reef friendly light

I really expected this light to be very bright, and maybe even too bright for my reef aquarium with a recommended power rating of 300 watts per panel. On the contrary, one panel isn't as bright as my trio of Coralife lamps, which total about 120 watts. HOWEVER, this light seems to be geared more towards blue and coral-friendly lighting. Less in yellow-green areas. This has slightly improved the appearance of my soft corals and has not yet encouraged further algae growth. What I like best is that the light is controlled by the remote control and not reset in the event of a power failure as in previous cases. linear controllers often do this. There are 8 timer settings and each can be set to different levels of blue and white. So for example I have a setting of 1:10:00 pale blue, 2:10:30 mid blue and pale white, 3:11:00 all blue and mid white, 4:12:00 all blue and all white (Reverse the process then in the evening.Aside from being less bright than I expected, my only major disappointment is that I don't have a very faint "moonlight" mode throughout the night.Even with the lowest 10% being blue them too bright to stay on all night It would be really nice if the lights had a separate set of 4 very low lights on their own moonlight switch.

Pros
  • Dimming and timer function
Cons
  • Useless features
