For this price? Crazy.

Current Ambilight solutions cost $200-$500. Get a Phillips Hue Sync Kit and you might as well buy a new TV. Govee has an $80 solution that does the same thing, but you need a screen camera. I really didn't think it would work at the price. I thought I read wrong. This definitely doesn't capture my monitor and distorts color rendering from USB for about $30. Of course, the software doesn't have the prettiest user interface and there are spelling mistakes in the English translation. It does the job. For $30. And frankly, it's as good as any of the DIY open source software options available. I've used a prism before and it's fine, but you have to do all the calibration to tell it how many LEDs there are on each side, but this software does it for itself. The excess is clipped, sorted out and adjusted. No cameras, it just works. For this price.
