I'm an artist and I don't like the waste created by single use paper based pallets. This silicone palette is the perfect shade of gray and can be used over and over again with acrylic paints. I cut my first rug in half because it was so big, but my second one is staying intact because I have a huge painting to work on. When I'm done with the palette, I let the paint dry and peel off large chunks. Then I use a nail brush to scrape off any paint/flake residue in the sink. I also have a slim album sleeve (Michael has mine) that I keep my wet palette in when I'm not done. . I put the mat in, spray it with a water bottle and seal it. Should stay moist for several days, but stays moist longer depending on how much moisture there is or if you add more.
