What don't you like about this mandolin cut from Devesh? The only downside is small but nice: the metal part, which is part of the overall design and shouldn't be sharp, can actually cause an awkward cut. Otherwise, I like everything about this item, including the handy brush for cleaning. It's easy to tune by simply turning the dial, much easier than any other mandolin I've owned. The Devesh Slicer has all the slices I need. I have not tried a pleated haircut yet. I was too busy working with the straight blade day after day. The food stand is safe and secure, and only a small portion is left as you near the end of cutting. To store it, simply turn the dial to the 'lock' position and tuck away safely. Buy this if you want to increase your healthy food intake. I make beetroot, apple, pear, potato, etc. chips and use this product to thinly slice broccoli stalks to keep them tender.
