I use Brooks equipment for my training because it offers a little more support. I have wide feet with a high instep and arch. I tend to lie on my back a lot. They were suggested by an orthopedist. I have a pair of 11s, 13s and now 14s. For me, 13s and 14s are the same and I have to lace them up so the instep isn't too tight and the heel isn't too loose. They fit perfectly with this small adjustment. I don't like the tongue on either a 13 or 14 and prefer the tongue on my 11. The narrow tongue on newer models tends to dig into the shoe when you put them on. I have to use a shoehorn to keep my tongue in place, which makes putting them on a bit painful. Maybe they're a bit narrower, or it might be my high-rise building that doesn't fit the style of the language. I definitely prefer the wider old style. I wish there were more colors in the wide range, but I'm grateful to have more than black or white to choose from. All in all a solid purchase. If you're looking for something softer and/or wider, try NB Fresh Foams or HOKA.
