Misleading advertising - nothing is 6000 lumens.

I bought this projector on a whim to see how it compares to more expensive projectors. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for! The claim that this projector somehow hits 6,000 lumens is completely and unequivocally false. If it were that bright, it would be as bright as a TV (if not more) in a well-lit room. This one doesn't fit. In short, it's very dim - so dim that it looks about the same as other serious projectors with a brightness of 500 lumens. Compared to my ten year old 720p projector which runs at 2500 lumens it's day and night. Where did you get that number in lumens from? Well, they probably just stuck their light meter in the lens - even when I did that with a white image, I only got about 4500 even with the "upgraded" version of their projector. In the real world, even with a projection size of 75 inches, the image is weak and of poor quality. I found it almost impossible to focus sharply. The edges are always blurry no matter how perfectly aligned the projector is on the surface. .The bottom line is that it's not a shortcut to quality. You get a projected image at a low price, but not at a good price. You really do get what you pay for!
