In addition to several photo resolutions, the user can choose from several different aspect ratios - TV 16:9, TV 3:4, various computer screen sizes and 1:1 square, ideal for online auction photos. The Coolpix P80 is considered a hybrid camera because it has all the features of a much more expensive DSLR, but the lens is not removable. It has a diopter adjustment that allows the user to take photos without glasses; the ability to turn off the LCD when using the SLR viewfinder and an easy-to-use menu. The camera is as easy to use as auto-aim for the average user, plus all the bells and whistles like shutter speed priority, aperture priority, and autofocus. You can record multiple frames per second for photos and videos. Oh, and the price is 25% cheaper than the tiny 4-megapixel camera it replaced. I recommend getting a two-year extended warranty for about $15, a good deal.
