I've had this thing for a few days now and am constantly trying to get it to work. When I first plugged it in it seemed to work fine but there was no sound. The Windows Camera app recognized the video right away, but not the audio. I ended up downloading the suggested PotPlayer, which is actually pretty good. In it I noticed that you can change the audio source for the video stream coming from the device. I matched it with the device (FHD Capture) and the audio worked. Isch. There was a lot of crackling, so I changed the audio quality in the device settings. If that was the only issue I would have given it a higher rating, but it really was just the start. I have a device connected to my switch. After playing Switch on my computer for the first time, I turned it off. When I came back later, I turned on the switch and reopened PotPlayer, but there was no video or sound. I checked the switch and it was on, the device was still recognized by the computer but nothing happened. I left the device connected to the computer, disconnected HDMI and reconnected HDMI, the video came back. There was no sound and I had to fiddle with it and update PotPlayer to get it working again. The next time I returned to the game, I flipped the switch, opened PotPlayer and again I had no sound or picture. I repeated what I had last time. That does not work. This time I unplugged the device and plugged it back in. It still didn't work. I ended up plugging it into another USB3 socket and finally recognized the device again. However, I had to change the settings and update PotPlayer to get the video to play again. The sound had to be adjusted further to make it work again. This problem repeats itself every time I turn off the switch. And worse, the inconsistency in fixing. Every time I have to solve many problems. My problems are probably related to my drivers and the specific setup of my PC. This device might work for you, but be aware that it didn't work for at least one PC user.
