I ended up just using the brake lever as the one I had broke but in the long run I'll probably choose a brand that has a better fit and finish for such an important part.

Save money. Buy levers with higher tolerances and quality. The clutch lever was useless on my DL650/V-strom because it wobbled up and down a lot more than stock (about an inch!) and I found it unsafe. It was also incompatible with the guards I was using - the adjust switch doesn't clear the guard properly. I ended up just using the brake lever as the one I had broke but in the long run I'll probably choose a brand that has a better fit and finish for such an important part of the bike.
