I bought these on a whim as they are not my usual brand. I'm mostly happy with this purchase but at first I thought they didn't work at all. I needed two things: a solid layer of highlight underneath (or you're going to put on a million coats to make it visible), I would recommend applying two or three coats of color-changing polish over the solid layer, but then DIP YOUR NAILS UNDER THE WATER to see the true color because curing will make them hot longer than you think. My favorite is navy blue/turquoise over light blue! In the photo my thumb has tight hair underneath which creates a nice ombre effect; There is no layer under my fingers, only about 4 layers of color changing polish.
