I wish I had read the other reviews before ordering! But this is the electronic door option I chose, so this is the wall mount solution they came up with for it. He believed the engineers had done their job and created a quality product. As many have said, the price is ridiculous! Almost as much as an electronic door intercom?! And as others have pointed out, the end result is a terrible transition from the outer frame to the inner door. Not protected from weather, water or insects. It's like the product wasn't even made for the door unit. Come on designers, try your product before you sell it! I also just had to fabricate my own solution. Before you buy, consider Lowe's 1x4 or 1x6 white vinyl planks and trim. I'm going to take some substantial white caulk to seal this now.
