Ok I opened it and fell in love. I was originally going to order more Saucony socks that look almost exactly like these. But not all Sauconys had bright colors on the little cuff. Half was just black. They have really good fabric - they're really soft, nice and thick. They appear to be very well made and I was delighted with the quality and feel. I wear size 8.5-9 shoes and they fit me perfectly. However, due to the shape, I think they will be too big for someone with a shoe size of 6.5 or smaller. I didn't really have to stretch them to put them on. A big disappointment came after I put them on and walked around. They were so comfy, soft and thick. and this damn tight band cuts my ankles with every step. It feels like they put a thin 1/4 inch elastic around the top of the ankle. It's uncomfortable, annoying and too tight. With every step I can feel it piercing the tendons of the house through my ankle and it's unbearable. For the record, I'm a little over 5'2 and 135. So. Unfortunately I have to send them back. You came so close to being my be-all and end-all
