I ordered this for my 2005 Vue which suddenly got a service engine which soon caught fire, never seen before. Looked it up on the internet and found that most people fixed it with a new gas cap. I ordered this GM part and found it to fit perfectly. Actually stronger than the original. Definitely disconnected the ground from the battery, dropped the light and the viola! The warning is gone and the machine works normally. It has a stationery pin to attach the cord to the car, just insert the old one and insert with your fingers. I used a push pin removal tool. However, a flathead screwdriver and pliers will also work.
