Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Mateusz Grzesiak  (M ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall good, but expected more.

A \ m Opel Corsa D, dv. 1200 see MCP. Riding 60% pure asphalt, 30% uncleaned asphalt (snow + ice) + 10% snow of varying degrees of rolling. According to the test results of the magazine "Behind the wheel", the tire took 3rd place. Considering that the leader of that test Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 in a similar size at that time cost from 7800 \ pcs., His purchase in August in an online store in Hong Kong for 4500 \ pcs. I think it's more than successful. The tread pattern and the location of the studs do not imply re-studding, which, combined with weakly fixed studs, causes fierce hatred for the marketers of the manufacturing concern. A well-thought-out tire from the beginning will last no more than 2 seasons, and then fork out in a new way. From the depths of memory, the domestic Kama-578 emerges, in which the tread blocks were studded through one and on which I drove for 3 seasons, and then re-studded and drove for another two years. Moreover, when I sold the car on that Kama, it would still be enough for 1 season. Rated "3" because of the fragility of the product.

Pros
  • It rows well on any snow, snow-water porridge. Good braking properties on icy surfaces (probably due to the rectangular shape of the stud and its wide side perpendicular to the direction of travel).
Cons
  • A clear tendency to drift when entering a turn, especially on bare pavement. Insufficient fixation of the spike. Drove for 3 months of the first season approx. 8000 km and lost 12-15 spikes on the front wheels, although, to be honest, it could not do without sharp braking and slipping (several times).
