Cannot be used directly as a speed sensor on an Android phone. You must be using a compatible app (I use Wahoo) to connect. Bluetooth Android will see this and try to connect, but even though it never asks for a password, it will say the password is wrong. Wahoo connects to it with no problem. I can't vouch for its accuracy compared to GPS or any other speed source as I have it on my bike axle, but the power to speed ratio seems accurate. Worth the money IMO, and don't listen to the chest that says it doesn't work, it works; You just have to find a compatible app. Remember to buy another one to get cadence from foot/leg speed.
