Molded motor mounts - the plastic pieces that hold the motor in the frame - they are molded in a semi-involute shape with a curve to form the stator vane. Jet engines use a rotor (fan) and a stator (fixed fan) of specific dimensions to compress air. This fan is designed to increase the static pressure of the outflowing air. This is a 12 volt case fan that can actually pressurize a container - not much pressure but more than a normal fan of its size and better than a bilge fan that costs twice as much! I'm very happy - assuming they don't die. for bearings or windings. Great design! Make a whole bunch of them in different sizes! PERFECT!
