Looks good room for improvement

Installed this unit about 15 months ago as a backup for my electric hob as my house goes out almost every week. The design is nice but some details are missing. First when I tried to use my coffee maker (Italian style) it fell through the top and I had to design some rails to accommodate the Greca coffee maker. Second, when I try to turn it on I have to try many times, it lights up when the handle is released, it turns off. Third, the flame is too high and will not decrease greatly. Fourth, gas leaks at the bottom, but since I'm only using it as an emergency kit, I turn off the gas after each use. Plus, it was a lifeline that everyone in the house could use. PS My daughter loves making s'mores with him. That.
