I used to use an OtterBox which was durable but was afraid of dropping the phone. The water and drop protection doesn't help me when I drop my phone off a ship, window or cliff! If I'm unsure of something, the hand/neck strap ensures that my phone doesn't slip away. I can also imagine using a lanyard when traveling when using an e-ticket. The strap makes it easy to scan at the gate without having to juggle your phone when carrying luggage. Potential Cons: The strap is attached to a metal loop (good), but that metal loop is attached to the body with a braided strap. This part makes me a little nervous about its durability/safety. The place to store money/cards seems cramped/uncomfortable. Great for emergency cash or "if the call is lost" information, but it doesn't look like it's going to be easy to use. I'm fine with that as I wasn't planning on using it regularly and I didn't want a bulky wallet attached to my phone. Pros: The turquoise color is attractive. Not too bright, but not too dark either. The sea green material is reminiscent of leather and looks more expensive than it actually was. The black rubber body feels solid. It fits my iPhone 7 perfectly. Easy to put on without feeling the phone slipping out. The cutouts around the camera and button covers line up properly and work well. The black and white strap feels durable, similar to seat belt material, but at the same time feels soft (unlike seat belts!). It's attractive and thick enough to feel secure without being too bulky. The strap at the back made texting for long periods of time much more convenient. There's enough room to slip your fingers underneath without the strap becoming too bulky. All in all I would definitely recommend this case. It seems strange to me that more and more companies don't offer cases to attach a lanyard or wrist strap. The strap will not be too bulky.
