The fabric is not as heavy as I expected from denim but quite satisfactory. I have washed and line dried it and it is still in good condition, very little shrinkage probably due to the polyester content. I don't like the straps that cross at the back. I would prefer one around the neck and 2 ties. I removed the leather patch that the back straps went through because they were difficult to adjust. This is a comfortable apron and a good size. I wouldn't buy any other. Don't forget to remove the straps before washing as they are leather.
