My little son loves to slam doors on us while playing, effectively locking himself in rooms as he still can't open the doors and has to wait for us to run to him and open them for him. I bought this to discourage him. It fits our needs perfectly, keeping the door open to avoid pinched fingers or temporarily trapped toddlers. For the price I thought it was worth it!
