We just got ours. Yes, it will leave small parts of the egg in an unbroken state, and some eggs will remain in the holes after using, but we are willing to accept a certain loss of raw materials to save time and a fully broken state of the eggs after we they have broke them. Much quicker than cutting with a knife or cleaning another cutting tool that we used but stopped using because it was so painful to clean and we couldn't even find it when we looked so we bought this one instead and boy , we are glad. It hasn't broke after five eggs, and if it doesn't last a year or so, we'll come back here and downgrade like we did with that stupid metal lime press that broke as soon as we used it . Of course, limes are harder than eggs. At least our eggs. Our balls are pleasantly not hard.
