This is a great little backpack that can be used for a variety of purposes from hiking to biking to walking and more. It is also designed for a hydrator (not included). There are plenty of pockets and a large open pocket for bike helmet sized things. Back-out: The large zippered main compartment can be split into 2 pieces or used as one piece, the innermost is lined with reflective material that keeps cool things (or hydration bladder) cool and helps transfer body heat away from the wearer avoid. A small zippered pocket (about the size of a cell phone) is located at the top of the backpack. Below that is an open pocket for a larger item like a bike helmet, which has a large zipped compartment on the outside big enough to hold a decent water bottle (which is also good because the small open mesh pockets on both there will of course not be a side issue.. I'm not sure what they might be for - maybe you can buy slim water bottles, I'm not an expert - but I think you can always find things to put in your pockets so I have no doubt that it can be useful. Maybe a telescopic umbrella?). This backpack itself is designed to be lightweight, so it wouldn't be a good idea to pack a lot of heavy stuff in it. The padding is good for what most people will use it for, but not for a heavy load. If you need to carry weight for a while, look elsewhere. It doesn't have a jingle on the box, just not what I would use it for. You will not feel comfortable. He has a good waist belt, but still. It feels well built and can serve many purposes, but like most backpacks, what you put in one bag can limit what you can put in the next. For example, you will find it difficult to have a large helmet pocket and an external zippered compartment for a large water bottle. Either/or my friends. All in all a good, comfortable backpack for light purposes.
