If you buy these for drying dishes you will be disappointed but I had other reasons. Make them work like reusable gauzes and they're perfect. The giant white towels are huge and I was able to cut one of the towels into four pieces, a square is perfect to put a medium sized strainer on. They are also very good for baking bread. In fact, you need a lightweight fabric with a loose weave for any application. Just a note, do not use fabric softener when washing these towels if you are using them for cooking. Fabric softener leaves a trail that you don't want to include in your recipe!
