Review on πŸŒ€ Cool Attic CX1500: Efficient Gable Mount Power Attic Ventilator with Powerful 2.6-Amp Motor and 14-Inch Blade by Jason Pinkney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works 7 years and counting

I bought this to ventilate the attic in my South Carolina home during the long hot summer. Along with the regular ceiling vent, I installed a gable vent on the other end of the attic and this exhaust fan on the opposite end. Not only do I use a thermostat, I plug it into a switch on the panel to the right of the bathroom. Under him. Our attic is the full size of our house with an area of 1800 square feet. feet and is 10 feet high at the center of the rooftop with a 3/4 plywood floor. Access to the attic is via regular stairs in our hallway, 10ft x 10ft room with a door leading out to the backyard and into the house, so dirty or dirty shoes, clothes, tools, etc. are tossed there before entering the house. The entrance hall has a central ventilation valve and is therefore air-conditioned. When this fan turns on, I can feel the air movement when I'm standing on the stairs or in the door leading into the house. If for some reason the fan is off and it's midday on a hot day, the temperature in the attic is unbearable. But turning on the fan slightly lowers the temperature in the attic. I made a 1/2 inch plywood mounting plate for the fan and it's quiet enough that most of the time I don't notice it unless I'm in the attic or hallway. I tested it and found that there is excessive endgame. It's still running great, it's just starting to make vibration noises. That's almost 7 years in a row. without a break in the summer. It's $7 a year if it doesn't work now. I'm adding another one to my cart to buy so when the first one finally comes out I'll have a backup ready. $7 a year for 7 years and still works. I am 100% satisfied.
