Review on 🚗 CURT 56196 RV Dinghy Towing Tail Light Converter: 2-to-3-Wire Splice-in Solution by Joseph Adaymiln

This unit works exactly as advertised. It allowed me to separate the brakes and turn signals on my Ford Explorer Sport Trac into separate wires. I used this to install an optional third brake light on my trailer. I bought an extra harness with 4 connectors and put a CURT converter between the connectors. I can easily remove the headlight and attach a trailer (with headlights) if needed. When I originally installed the headlight, it flashed along with the turn signals. With this CURT - 56196 converter, the brake light works independently of the indicators.
