Review on SPT SH-1507 Mini-Tower Ceramic Heater by Sunpentown: Compact & Efficient Heating Solution by Ashley Collins

I bought this heater because I was tired of being cold at work every winter. Not only is it small enough to hide under my desk (although it's made of ceramic, it's unlikely to pose a fire hazard), it packs some punch too! I stuck this bad boy under my desk, turned it on and within microseconds (no kidding) nice hot air was warming my cold toes. As others have said, it's very quiet. While there is general office noise in my area, you really won't hear it unless you're in a very quiet room. I also agree with others that two nice features can be added: a timer or a temperature. It also notes that when using the watch face, you'll need two hands to turn it on or off. The dial is very hard and tends to flip the car if you're not careful. I don't need the hesitation feature, but it's nice to have. All in all, the device feels solid, works great and meets my needs perfectly. Definitely worth its price. Really want to buy another one for the house to heat the bedroom before bed or to warm the legs in the den. (Maybe once they fix the dialpad hardness and add a timer option.) UPDATE: August 24th, 2013 This heater still works great! Last year we transitioned to a climate that doesn't require indoor heating/air conditioning for most of the year, so most homes don't have built-in HVAC systems. In the winter it gets cold enough to freeze your toes and it's a bit difficult to get out of a hot shower and into a cooler room. I run this heater in our bathroom on cold winter nights and it heats up very quickly! Not only has it managed to survive overseas shipping, it still works like new all these years later.
