I was able to match the stain to the color of the chair and the first results were excellent. The new stain made the chair almost new. Unfortunately, the stain doesn't wear very well. It didn't take long for the newly applied stain to start rubbing off in places. I plan to try again with a new set to make the chair look new again. We used all of the black from the original kit to darken the brown just enough to match the color of our chair. Will likely use some sort of throw on the back of the chair to protect the newly stained area.
