Review on 16 Flashing Car Construction Strobe Amazinea by Andrew Young

Great warning for the money

Believe it or not, I bought these for my snow blower. In terms of build quality and brightness, I find these lights very good. I installed them flush to the surfaces on both sides of the snow thrower and they look AMAZING. They are clearly counterfeits of a product likely designed and developed by Whelen, Federal Signal or Code 3. But they're damn good fakes. I'll read the instructions as I haven't already and see if it's clear. Right out of the box they just have this quick flash that works with an app like mine. My only complaint, and I deducted a star for that, is the wires in the wiring harness. While the outer shell is pretty good, the wires inside are flimsy, cheap, almost like Chinese metal fibers, with little to no insulation. You have to have small hands to work with a wire, but I don't know how to reliably weld into a joint or into any other type of splice. The wires are so small and flimsy that they will snap if you try to strip them. If you've ever worked in a Chinese toy, you know what I mean. The wires appear to be literally the same design and thickness as the imported toy. I know they shouldn't be able to carry much current, but their fragility makes them VERY difficult to safely connect to existing wiring you might have. In fact, about halfway through my first snowfall with them, the ground wire broke and I lost most of my brightness. I get a good reliable connection. If you plan on using them where they will be exposed to the elements, just buy good splice connectors, a good sealant and take your time. All in all, AMAZING little bulbs (bigger than I actually expected) for the money. In spring I plan to buy a few more sets for my zero turn!
