Replacing this type of lamp is a nightmare. They are held in the mount with a plastic tab, and if the tabs get stuck, it's almost impossible to remove the bulb. I pulled on that lightbulb 'til my fingers hurt, and I used every swear word I knew. Worse, the only place you can grab a lightbulb is in a glass tube! The last bulb I replaced had the glass bulb partially ripped off and I had nothing to grab hold of to pull the bulb out. I ended up having to turn off the circuit breaker and grab the plastic base with pliers. and the glass of the bulb was broken. Terrible, terrible design. There are LED versions of these bulbs, all of which are plastic and much safer to remove (they last longer and use less power too). DO NOT BUY THESE. BUY THE LED VERSION.
