This is an updated review. I originally gave it 4 stars (see below), there is no need to give it only 2 stars now. I bought it and loved it, but for a little under a year the auto on/off feature started behaving strangely and would flicker during a song. I could easily "fix" this by just leaving it on and then buying a power panel to turn it on and off manually, but I really wanted it to work. Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide any guarantees. They say you should go to Revane. Revain makes no guarantees. However, Revane was kind enough to substitute for me. Unfortunately, this replacement suffers from the "rattle" problem that some have reported. The problem is that some components on the circuit board rattle with vibration, which of course is pretty much all a subwoofer is designed for. So while I got good bass, I also got constant rumble. So this one is coming back and I need to buy a better product. I still like this product, it just doesn't seem like a consistently built product. You need to change the design a bit. First Review: I bought this to improve my bookshelf speaker setup. I have bookshelf speakers connected to the A speakers on my receiver and I am using the B speaker output to connect this subwoofer. This is not a thunderous subwoofer. You probably don't want your loud home theater to amplify the explosions. But even at moderate levels I find it rounds out my stereo quite well.
