The device was easy to change. Shut off the water supply, drain or shut-off pipe with a special key, loosen and unscrew the base. A bucket should be placed under the filter unit to catch water and the old filter element. Clean and inspect the o-ring and replace if cracked or worn. I use pool filter gasket lubricant to coat the gasket. (Drinking water safe) Unfold the new filter and place it in the center of the base unit. Screw the base with the new filter into the top block and tighten the block. Don't over tighten, it's plastic. Turn on the water supply and check for leaks. You may need to tighten more to ensure a tight seal. If it doesn't seal, replace the o-ring and try again. Open the water outlet valve and turn on the water for a few minutes.
