Description of 🌱 EcoPure EPW4F Universal Premium Capacity

Flow and Capture Technology (FACT) filters provides better flow, higher levels of water filtration and longer life than most large capacity whole house water filters. This premium water filter is NSF certified to reduce chlorine taste & odor, sediment, sand, silt, dirt and rust - designed for use on municipal or well water supplies. Less than 1 micron filter – the lower the micron rating the more particles or contaminants removed by a whole house filter. Lasts up to 6 months - twice as long as most whole home water filters. Universal replacement - fits EcoPure model EPWO4 and most standard capacity whole home water filtration systems including: Whirlpool, Omni, Culligan, Watts, Filtrete, 3M, GE, and DuPont.

Review of the first 6 months

Seems to be doing the job well. Knowing how messy it's gotten past its supposed six month maximum lifespan, I'll probably make changes a bit sooner. Of course, this varies from house to house. I live in a small town with a newer (about 10 years old) municipal water system. Our tap water is much tastier and free from sediment particles. The price is right and you can see from the picture that it serves its purpose.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • -

My well is producing very very fine caustic or silicates, I don't know what. And if, for example, the dog bowl or bucket I was using dried out, a very, very fine white powder would stick to the bowl. I installed this filter and haven't found a fine suspension on the shells as they dry out for the past month. I think they work very well and I plan on buying more to keep them in stock. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I wish I could give him more time to check the results.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Quality

The filters are amazing

We have well water and need to use a whole house filter. We live in North Carolina where the soil is very orange due to the iron content in the soil. This orange stuff seeps into our well water. We went to Lowe's hardware store and bought similar filters for over $30. But then Laws stopped carrying the filters we needed. How lucky we are to find these filters at half price at Revain. My husband installed a filter yesterday, the water has become cleaner. So it's really only day two, but so far…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it says it is

Perfect fit, easy to change.

The device was easy to change. Shut off the water supply, drain or shut-off pipe with a special key, loosen and unscrew the base. A bucket should be placed under the filter unit to catch water and the old filter element. Clean and inspect the o-ring and replace if cracked or worn. I use pool filter gasket lubricant to coat the gasket. (Drinking water safe) Unfold the new filter and place it in the center of the base unit. Screw the base with the new filter into the top block and tighten the…

Please read this. NOT suitable for all applications

I have several filters in a row. i had 1st sieve ispring2. rope.3. This activated carbon filter4. White notepad. I noticed that I was under a lot of pressure, then it eased off. So that's fine because I have a direct city. When the pressure drops, the pump from the tank turns on. BUT I noticed that the pump worked a lot. It was 25psi in the city and very little was coming out. I found that this filter was blocked by elimination. i cut it There was no trace or dirt in it. I blocked one end and…

For filtering sediment and chlorine

We pump our own water from a well-known lake in upstate New York that has always been known for its clarity and cleanliness. However, we filter and chlorinate because algae and sediment from high winds and rain increase the likelihood of bacterial contamination. We have a tiered system. The first stage is a washable 50 micron sediment pre-filter that prevents large particles from clogging the system. The second stage is chlorination and a 500 gallon storage tank. The third stage is the Ecopure…

Took just over 1 month

I had a whole house water filtration system installed just over a month ago . He used this filter for the initial install and gave me a replacement. The filter says it should be replaced every 6 months. My plumber figured this should take 10 months as the 6 month estimate is based on the average water usage of a family of 4 and I live alone. After about three weeks I notice black deposits in my toilets and when I fill my pets' water bowls. I had to drain the water to get rid of the sediment…
