Great tool fits wrenches

I have several CDI torque wrenches, here's why: First they look good - the laser engraved chrome finish makes this tool great and easy to clean. I know it's just a tool, but having a tool that feels good in your hand is a lot more fun. The micrometer setting is 10's around the dial so you don't have to add or guess what setting you have. I've used others with 15 pound divisions and this tool takes the hassle out of it. Simply pull back the spring loaded bushing and rotate the main body to adjust. Release and it will snap into place immediately. Others I've used have a lock washer on the end of the handle that can come loose and you lose adjustment. The handle is just the right length. CDI has excellent customer support. I contacted them before ordering and the technician spent a lot of time explaining the specifics of their keys. This wrench is accurate to +/- 4% from 20% to 100% of full scale - my certificate of calibration lists values well below (0.5 to 2.5%). 20% to 100% is the industry standard, although some torque wrenches are accurate to +/- 3%. In this case, 20% of 150 in/lb is 30 in/lb. So this tool becomes less accurate as you go below 30 inches/lbs. This is due to the lack of spring compression in the lower area. In fact, this wrench should be marked as a 30-150 in/lb wrench, which matches the certificate of calibration that came with it (meaning: my certificate of calibration marks this wrench as 30-150 ft/lb). Just note that with ANY type of spring press, the low power should be 20% of the maximum, even if the dial shows a lower setting.
