This is a great scanner. It arrived on time and worked right out of the box. All we had to do was plug in the USB stick; Quickly installs itself - and then runs a scan. To scan, all you have to do is open the document you need information in and scan the items. It's like a keyboard and inserts the code of what you scan into the document. For Excel documents, it places each entry in a cell below the previous scan. In terms of price, this is the best offer. We have done extensive research on barcode scanners. The price range is huge. For our needs we needed a 1D scanner that scans objects. This goal is fully achieved. Additionally, there are many options for what happens when items are scanned. For example, you can set the scanner to store data until you are ready to download it to your computer, or you can set it to download data as you scan. Basically we are very satisfied. We didn't spend an arm or a leg getting what works for us out of the box.
