The cornice package arrived about a week later than originally expected. This was after the actual curtain fabric package, which was odd considering the fabric was made to order, but the rod itself appears to be standard. The assembly instructions are terrible. The pictures are misleading and the text is full of grammatical and spelling mistakes. The instructions do not mention setting the weight. Luckily it's not a particularly complex product and with some common sense you can figure out what goes where and how everything should fit together. The instructions for pairing and using the remote didn't work for me. I've tried every sequence of key presses that I could reasonably assume the instructions would have given me, but to no avail. I don't really intend to use the remote control. Somehow I managed to pair it with the Tuya app. Not sure how as I kept getting errors and never got a confirmation. Then it magically appeared on the Home tab. The integration with Google Home is semi-finished at best. Voice control works, but if you're hoping to use touch controls for open/close or incorporate auto open/close into routines, think again. The Tuya app offers these features but defeats the whole purpose of integrating it into my existing smart home. ecosystem. I don't want to use any other app. The quality of the curtain itself ... normal. The engine is a bit noisy. The fabric is okay, but the seams have come loose in several places. TLDR: QC and overall experience do not match the price. Not worth going back but I was definitely hoping for more. I used this shade as a sample and would buy more for the rest of my house if all goes well. Instead I will look for other options.
